Who says the AKC is stuffy? My hat is off to any organization that allows your best friend to earn a title called Junior Earthdog. We’re active in our local area, through Oregon Trail’s End Earthdog Club.

Earthdogging is popular here at Robinsend: Barley and Haggis are Master earthdogs and Echo is a Senior earthdog just beginning her hunt (figuratively and literally) for a Master title. Rosebud earned her JE. Biscuit however was more of a social butterfly. Once we thought she had finally caught on and was giving the quarry a little ‘what-for’ at the protective cage. Turns out she was licking the grapes that had been put in the cage for the comfort of the rats. “I won’t bark at you but I will steal your lunch.” Oh, the mighty huntress.
