It wasn’t easy, but Peggy and Barley earned the Companion Dog title. During one event a group of goats escaped from a paddock at the fairground and one ran through the ring. It was in the slack time just before long sits and downs, but some of the dogs were pretty excited.
One judge said to Peggy as she entered with Barley, “Oh, I see you’ve trained a Cairn. That should be extra points.” We neglected to ask, “Added, or subracted?”
